UNWIND & UPLIFT:

Restoring Cervical & Thoracic Mobility!

LIVE: December 7th - 9:00 - 10:30a PT (Los Angeles) Recording sent after.

Modern lifestyles often leave us rounded forward, heads down, shoulders hunched, and upper backs stiff. This workshop will help you alleviate chronic tension in the cervical and thoracic regions, restoring freedom of movement, posture, and breath capacity. Learn to release tightness, improve spinal articulation, and build strength to support healthy alignment.

In this Classtermind, we will deepen our understanding of upper spinal mechanics and learn practical strategies to promote balanced alignment. Brian will brilliantly blend anatomy exploration, Pilates-based mobility work, and practical teaching applications in this 90-minutes together.

Let’s integrate evidence-based mobility techniques with body awareness practices to help us feel lighter, taller, and more at ease. Suitable for all levels, this workshop provides tools you can use daily to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting, stress, and repetitive strain, helping you and your clients move better and feel better for a long time to come.

Workshop Objectives:

  1. Explain the anatomical and functional relationships between the cervical and thoracic spine and their role in postural alignment.
  2. Identify common compensations and movement restrictions in clients that limit upper spinal mobility.
  3. Demonstrate Pilates-based exercises and mobility sequences that target the neck, shoulders, and upper back.
  4. Integrate breath and core engagement principles to support elongation and efficient spinal movement.
  5. Incorporate self-release and restorative strategies to promote mobility and reduce tension for both instructors and clients.
  6. Design and cue progressive movement sequences that enhance upper spinal mobility within mat and equipment sessions.
